WBI Workplace Bullying University®

Unrivaled, Comprehensive Education

Workplace Bullying University, Gary Namie, PhD

A Unique Program

WBI’s Workplace Bullying University® was the first research-driven, comprehensive education program on the topic in the world. It remains the only one of its kind to date. It is continuously updated.

Drs. Ruth and Gary Namie created University in 2008 and have trained several hundred professionals and career-changers in-person and more recently via virtual sessions. We have suspended live sessions.  Now, the program is available for purchase. No time juggling or missed weekends required. People can complete the course at their own pace and replay as frequently as needed.

The University Complete Package includes extensive content – program slides and the narrated version of the entire program, a huge set of ancillary video and audio files, and a curated collection of peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and book chapters – to enrich the learning experience for learners.

The course for Professionals & Career-Transitioning Individuals is a 14-part/17-hour program delivered on a USB thumb drive.

Testimonials

“Dr. Gary Namie the legendary bully busting sensei talks about the elephant in the room, the chronic daily abuse of workers around the globe. As a key brainchild of the USA anti-bully movement his material is such high value I have taken his course twice. Dr. Namie offers solutions to remedy the toxic federal workplace during his incredible fast paced university style presentation. Federal bullies and Academy ring knockers are on NOTICE by Dr. Namie the party is over. Drs. Gary and Ruth Namie lifelong labor of love is something we can all benefit from. Their legacy will be a workplace that is less hurtful, and with more bully targets that are empowered.”

John G.

“Gary is brilliant, charismatic and thoughtful. He keeps the group connected through his experiences and knowledge. I’ve received training on many workplace issues. Finally I now have the tools to address one of the most rampant and harmful workplace problems of all bullying. I’m grateful to have the tools to achieve a psychologically healthy and safe workplace!”

Denise M.

“Meeting and learning from Dr. Gary Namie has given me insight into my own workplace bullying experience, and his knowledge and empathy have changed my life. Gary Namie is bringing understanding and change to an underreported, ubiquitous mental health crisis in this country, one bully target at a time. University is a master class on the psychological effects of bullying, and he provides context with the latest data on the subject. I would suggest this enriching experience to any bully victim or person tasked with helping targets of workplace degradation.”

Andrew R.

“Definitely the most value-added program to organizational development I have attended in my 30-plus years in the business.”

Greg H.

“Dr. Gary Namie has produced an incredible resource for those seeking to understand the psychology, pathology and institutional politics of workplace abuse. He has formulated a message and assembled a library through which we can educate ourselves, and our society. I have deep admiration for his dedication to advocacy and education on behalf of targets of adult persecution, and he challenges the bystander in all of us to take action, because the future of our society depends upon it.”

Justine M., PhD

“I really appreciate the time and attention you give to curating such valuable content and for being a force in the world to give hope and validation to those of us who have suffered and survived!”

Gervonna R.

“As a small business owner, I see the bullying behaviors between employees and between customers and employees. Gary Namie’s expertise in workplace bullying is an excellent resource to develop strategies to prevent and intervene in workplace bullying behavior in ALL businesses big and small.”

Rick P.

“The training was extraordinary and much more than I expected. It’s rare to see such dedication and passion with this type of training. The research compilation and the precise organization of the materials is just what a left brain thrives on.”

Blake W.

“The class gave me a broader understanding of the bullying work environment, the target, the bully and learning ways to help and to curtail the behavior. Dr. Namie is a top notch presenter who easily rolls with the group using wit while knowing his topic thoroughly.”

Scott B.

“Without exaggeration, the best training I have attended in my 23 years as a both a union attorney and union representative. While Dr. Namie’s knowledge of workplace bullying is encyclopedic, he is able to present this information with incredible clarity and passion. This is a graduate level course and, at the end of it, a union, legal or health professional will be well prepared and have the material resources to provide help to targets of workplace bullying as well to present to interested groups.”

Eric F.

“Workplace bullying is real and dangerous to employees and companies. Gary Namie is the leader in working against workplace bullying through education and training. The workplace is indebted to his expertise and commitment.”

Beth P.

“The training I received via the Workplace Bullying University was phenomenal. Dr. Namie’s presentation of the science related to bullying was clear and detailed. I’m so very thankful for the opportunity to attend. I’ll use the material provided to continue Drs. Ruth and Gary Namie’s efforts to end psychological abuse in the workplace and beyond. The Namies are heroes.”

Sean H.

“I first found Dr. Namie and the WBI after becoming a target of workplace aggression. I simply could NOT pass up the opportunity to train under one of the greatest leaders in the industry. The experience was all I had hoped for and more. The class was intimate, informative and provided everything needed to understand the many different facets of this complicated topic. Dr. Namie’s understanding, dedication, and personal sacrifice to the cause is unmatched. It was such an awesome class!”

Janice W.

“Your course was a reminder that workplace bullying and mobbing is not just an American or Westerner’s problem, but rather a global workspace phenomenon. As a professional ADR person working primarily in South East Asia, and much of Africa, I have confronted office unruly behavior throughout. The course captures the painful truth on how workplace abuse affects targets and undermines the psychological safety every employer should aim to nuture in their work environment. University offers realistic tools and solutions for addressing and transforming the workplace for the international community. We benefit from the knowledge base and many years of experience you bring. The University experience has been indispensable.”

Anthony S.

“I appreciated the opportunity to better understand how bullying persists as a widespread organizational dynamic. While I came into the class with a narrow, anecdotal point of view on bullying, I left with insight into the history, research, and future direction on workplace bullying and the damage it causes. I also enjoyed the opportunity to learn from Dr. Namie and the wonderful people that I met in University.”

Susan C.

“It has been very enlightening to discover your way of framing experiences of bullying. The powerful insights and practical tools you shared with us will hopefully help us re-invent work cultures where nobody’s dignity is ever checked at the door.”

Henriette F., M.D.

“The training was extraordinary and much more than I expected. It’s rare to see such dedication and passion with this type of training. The research compilation and the precise organization of the materials is just what a left brain thrives on.”
